I came where the river
Ran over stones;
My ears knew
An early joy.
And all the waters
Of all the streams
Sang in my veins
That summer day.
- Theodore Roethke, The Waking, 1948
This was taken on a XC ski trip on New Years Day of this Year.
I loved the way the creek wound through the trees. |

I like watching the water sunning down the stream and past the snow-covered stones. Well captured Paul, thank you.

Love this one, Paul! Wish I were there - the light is so beautiful on the trickling water and snow. There was a little creek where I spent lots of time playing when I was a young girl. This brings back those memories. I like your note too. :)
