[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I took this shot last fall in the Cypress Grove at Point Lobos, just south of Carmel, California. It always feels like a magical place to me, following the trail along the rocky cliffs for views of the amazing coastal scenery, and also into the woodsy mood of this grove where it seems possible to find a gnome or two, if one looks carefully:)

Hi Karen:
I just caught your tree theme today and just found out that the Friday theme was back.
Looks like you caught the rugged nature of that whole coast and the trees look even more rugged than the cliffs.I kinda like the way you used a sharp contrast to bring out the whole texture and mood of the photo...... thanks Roman:0)

Hi Karen,

I love these knarly tree branches and think they make a great subject for photos. In this case, I think I would like a little more color saturation, but I like the image and the experience of those coastal sights.

Keep shootin' . . . and listenin'

Richard

Hello Karen, unfortunately I missed this particular theme,so I am just catching up.
I like the composition of this shot with the great emphasis on the interesting shapes and textures of the trees and their branches. The hint of what lies beyond with the beautiful colour of the sea and the sunshine is a winner for me.
Tfs, regards Jean.

Light and shadow playing hide and seek in the tree branches. This is one of the finest examples of this kind. I love this.
Thank you and warm regards,
abhijit.
