[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
The Cataract Falls Trail is my favorite hike this time of year. Northern California hasn't seen it's fair share of rain yet this winter, so the water level is a bit lower.

This shot is a few steps to the right of this one. This time the fallen tree is not obstructing the view of the falls. I also like the swirl that the long exposure brought out.

The White Balance in my shots were coming out too blue even with all the adjusments I made while shooting (WB: Shade -3) So thanks goes to SunToucher for his PP suggestions. In PP, I desaturated some of blue. Hopefully, not too much.

Lovely scene & image. i might be tempted to crop just to right of falls & a bit off the bottom. Out of points.

Nice image. I too feel it should be cropped from right and bottom a bit.

Hermoso lugar. Agradables efectos en el agua.
Un sitio encantador.
Best regards, Juan Luis.

Hi Mike,
The piece of log diagonal to the water adds an extra oomph. As always, good composition with fine technical details. Have you considered posting at TE? I post my travel and landscape photos there. Excellent work. Danilo

A beautiful long exposure shot, you are a real master of them. The concentric pattern on the water is very interesting. At a different pace nature can look so much different!

Hi Mike,
lovely POV and details, but I like better the first option for this one - Tranquility. Seems more made in your stile. I really like your stile and POV. Keep it because it looks great. TFS

All the best,
Ioana

Hi Mike,
Thanks for thanking me. I am glad I could help on this little trick. The white of the water looks great to me. But ofcourse it is best done in camera on in your RAW conversion program, but sometimes Photoshop does the trick even better, as shown here.

The slow shutter speed worked wonderful here, creating this awesome looking swirl. I do like Chuck's idea about the crop, but I am liking this as well. Something I hope to be able to copy as well.
TFS,
Niek
