[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This was taken at one of the "peaks" of Coyote Hills Regional Park near Fremont, California. I was enjoying the expansive view of the San Francisco Bay and the salt evaporation ponds, with the Dumbarton Bridge in the hazy background, when I turned to look at my closer surroundings (phew, no vultures here!) and saw the beautiful colors in this rock formation.

PP: minor levels and contrast adjustments, resized, sharpened, added border.

Colors well captured Karen - like the texture of the stone. Was the lihgting mid-day? Looks like there might be layers of stone but the lighting seems to flatten the layers.

Dan

Of course you make everything look interesting and beautiful. Some geological expedition again? Janos

Good colors & textures. Neat shot.

Yes it's just amazing the colors in this rock Karen,
You have composed a great detail frame from this rock as well,
I like the abstract shape and design.
Well seen my friend.

Hi there!
I know this may sound weird, but its this kind of shot that I would enlarge and put on my living room wall...
I love the colours and the detail and the balance.
Well seen, and well captured!

Hi Karen:
Orange ocher and red , great colours for these peaks, The feel of this is like looking at the grand canyon or monument valley and that is what I thought it was until I read the note.It would be interesting to see also a wide angle here...... thanks for this one Karen.......Roman:0)
