[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is the view from the heights of Coyote Hills Regional Park where I shot a close-up of one of the colorful reddish rocks ( here). Roman asked to see a wider view...so here it is. You can see the salt evaporation ponds of this portion of San Francisco Bay in the distance, and of course the hazy atmosphere that is so frequent. I did tweak the contrasts and saturation a bit because of the haze, but otherwise left this as natural as possible.

PP: adjusted levels, contrast, and saturation; resized; sharpened; added border.

great shot Karen
great pov and composition
very good contrast of the rock to bg.
with some imagination the red rock looks like
a sleeping bear with yellow tear drop.
best regards
David

Hi Karen,
What a fantastic structure of colourful rocks...
Nice colours and good composition. Tfs.

Hi Karen
Nicely composed and POV - clear enough to see across the Bay. The focus on the rocks looks a bit soft on my monitor. Next time try an f stop in the mid range of the lens. Many zoom will soften at the big number end of the range. Or better yet try one of each and note the sharpness.

Hi Karen:
Thanks for posting this one as you said you would.... The colour of the rock is spectacular. These are not hills but mountains, what a POV : the composition is super with two colours and a diagonal between the red mountain and the blue sea.. Its so good to see photos with good thought and planning behind them.....Thanks for showing us the whole picture....Roman:0)
