| Once called 'The Inevitable Ship', the Queen Mary has been around for over 70 years, witnessing many key events in the history of mankind. The Queen Mary played a role in not only World War II, but in the transportation of millions of passengers during her 1001 voyages across the North Atlantic. There are many reports of ghost sightings on her. This photo was taken from another ship as we came into port after watching the July 4th fireworks. Handheld at 1/40th sec. Adjusted levels in photoshop. |

Hi Paul,
very nice image. For a handheld nightshot taken from the deck of a ship, this is very sharp. I would have cloned off or cropped the shore lights on the right. That would have increaed the "ghost" effect more.
Nice crop, and nice composition, Paul. The sky is noisy, but that happens with slower speeds. (I'm assuming you cropped it. If not, you get extra points for composing it perfectly the first time!)
She does look a little ghostly.... :)
