Entrance to Nowhere

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I found this unkempt and overgrown gateway along a remote road. It looked like the beginning of an unfinished grand plan. It was an unusual sight in the middle of nowhere, with a rusty old wire fence strung across it, and with tall grass and bushes growing wild around it.
Another note: you can see how dry the grass and landscape looks...easy fuel for the many, many wildfires still burning in California this summer.

Hi,Karen,
I'm sorry, there are fires in California, but I don't think, only dry grass being the only reason.
As to the shot, it's as if you've neared someone else's forgotten world.
A good setting for a ghost story:)

You've captured this scene and the sense of dryness well Karen.
Very familiar looking scene in this area too.
My own tastes would love to see this rendered as a sepia toned image. so trying a workshop, hope that is ok!

Great eye to see and capture this image, Karen. I am always intrigued by scenes like this; gateways that mark some long forgotten entrance or border. It's like finding an ancient monument from an extinct civilization. Great atmosphere, good light management and nice sharp details.
Karen Hi;
I like this, and you are correct excellent fire material. The fires have been terrible. I like the POV and the idea of the image. If you could return after rain and green colors again I think this is really worthy of the trip.
Congratulations, very well found and composed.
