[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This was taken at Lake Berryessa, north of Napa, California. The water is very low due to drought conditions.

I experimented with extreme RAW settings and tweakings until I reached this color intensity, then used the artistic filter "poster edges" in CS3.

Hi Karen,

I like the quality of this image. It reminds me of that painter named Parrish, I believe. Whatever, it has the quality of a painting and makes a lake that I've seen many times seem much more interesting and attractive.

WOW!INTENSE Blues here Karen! Your comp is super nice, very cool to be looking through the trees here! The glow of the water pulls your eyes into the shot! We also are down about 3-4 feet, it's been super dry in central Texas.

Well done Karen, really appreciate your experiments, this one pumps up the color and looks like a painting. Yopu started with a well composed image of the lake and the old FG oak. Hopefully this weekends rain will help the water level.

vry unique, personal image. I love the compo, the framing and the almost brutal colours.
Great stuff, young lady! L. janos

Hello Karen,
I see you have been to the Lake where I used to ride my bicycle to and from Fairfield when I was just a kid so many years ago. This image is very rich in color, the technique worked well in this scene,
Well Done,
Steve
