[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I can't quite imagine the real story behind this unusual scene:)

When I stopped at the highest elevation of See Canyon Road to take some shots of the view, I also looked around at the immediate area and found this broken bicycle, lying abandoned, just inside a run-down fence with a defunct gate. It reminded me a bit of the stripped cars you might see in certain urban areas, but yet a totally different vehicle and unexpected context:)

PP: standard RAW adjustments, boosted contrast and saturation a bit, resized, sharpened, added small border.

Hi Karen,
Fine composition, a creative idea to capture. I like its typical summer colours and the simple frame around it. It suggests emptiness and loneliness. Good job! TFS.
Best wishes,
Kristof

As a bicyclist, I find this is disturbing! What happened?? Did he crash it and then drag it UP to the top? WOW I so hope he/she wasn't hurt! I love the wide angle view here Karen and most of all, you have done what photography is designed to do....to make the view STOP, question, marvel, stare, feel...and be left with being changed by the shot! Love this one!

Nicely done.

Good placement of horizon - rule of thirds! Good metering. Good depth of field with the aperture setting. Interesting subject.

I like how you've given the abandoned bicycle context, I think this is a shot that would look good on the wall.

Hello Karen

it is a beautiful visual and beautiful scenery,
if it was not the abandonment of the elements in the landscape!
Beautiful detail and well presented.
Well done my friend.
Greetings!

Rather surreal. Definitely a picture that makes you stop and puzzle. It raises more questions that it gives answers. Well composed.

Hello Karen,

I am always a little mystified and nostalgic when I see anything like this that has been left behind. I used to do a lot of furniture and clock refinishing and I loved bringing old things "back to life," so to speak.

Keep shootin'

Richard
