[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Instead of boring you with too many photos of artists laboring over their work at a street painting festival (since I've already posted two of those), I thought it might be interesting to see a bird's-eye view of some of their supplies, specifically the pastel chalks they use to draw their art on the pavement. The ones in this image were part of a set of several plastic organizer boxes, with the colors all sorted and coordinated in rainbow-like array in the sections. There were other similar boxes lined up along with this one, and each box contained a different color range. Efficient. Photo op, of course:)

PP: cropped slightly to trim minor distractions at the edges, saturated slightly, framed and resized.

Hi Karen, very colourful :) divider on top left has disturbed the symmetry here but so what.. I like it anyway, a black frame may have worked better though..

If I say "lovely colours" I'm just going to sound stupid ... because the photograph is successful for precisely that reason. But there is something very pleasing about the chunky shape of the pieces of chalk, and a wonderful sense of order in the way they're boxed and laid. Beautifully straight and perfectly cropped, by the way. (Points to come)

Great collection of colours Karen. The neat dividers add interest to the subject. I did a workshop with a black frame just to see the result. Hope you don't mind, but I enjoy trying things out sometimes.
