These people were sitting opposite me at a restaurant called Sol Food in San Rafael...a very friendly place where everyone sat and ate together. These people were from Brazil and very friendly and lively. I closed the aperture down to get a better depth of field.

Hi Roger,
Beautiful portrait of these friendly people, superb sharpness and details. I especially like the exposition of their eyes and the slight reflection in them. Great job again! TFS.

I'm just curious - do you ask people to pose in certain ways - move your head this way, chin down, etc, - or do you just snap them as they are? Whatever you do, it works SO well!

hello

they have a sweet smile and you capture it perfectly...good job! and nice b/w tone....tfs

So nice and so inviting. The wonderful natural feel here is outstanding, hard to fathom that these were just two people across from you in a restaurant, really very nicely composed and created.
Black and white works extremely well here too and your control of depth is very good and adds to the imagery.
Good natural looking skin and lighting, just a fabulous shot all around.
I like it a lot, TFS,
Wilt

Great double portrait Roger. Very friendly faces. If i look at your gallery you see mostly happy people so i think that's because of you. Do you make a good joke just before you shoot ? Then you have to travel around the world and make people happy where there are crap situations.......

regards, willemien

Hi Roger,

many wonderful portraits in your gallery.
I must admit I'm not really a people person so I always find myself in an akward situation when trying to comment a portrait.
So I will be simple here. I like this one for two wonderful smiles.
Not just formed by their mounth but also from their eyes.
Sincere and most friendly, a rare thing to come across these days.

regards,
jeri

Hello Roger
I like composition and expression on faces of these two:)
But only one remark.. He is a bit bihind of her. But on the picture they are glued to each other. That's because of using 85 mm... To my mind if You used let's say 50 mm from a closer distance this shot would be better - it would have more volume - more 3 dimension feeling.
Thanks for sharing,
Siarhei
