[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Do you imagine that female mallard ducks will ever learn about women's liberation? Every turn the brightly colored male duck took the female instantly followed. It was quite fun to watch them as I took up a position to make this capture. It was late in the afternoon with perfect color playing off the male mallards brightly colored head and chest. I got the shot, but then found myself too delighted by the female following faithfully along, I knew I needed to include them both. Just for fun.

Interesting note. What a good presentation of camouflaging technique for the female mallard. I like the cropping here. It looks very natural.
