[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is an HDR shot of El Capitan. It was taken at sunrise and each of the three pictures used to create this were lacking in color and detail. It is interesting that this picture has both after combining the images. For those who haven't tried this technique, it is set up with three pictures of the same Fstop but different exposures (using a tripod) then combined in Photomatrix. It is essential to have the tone control module because without it the process looks very flat.

Wow...love the touch of warm sunlight at the top, getting ready to spread throughout this scene! The amazing bluish tones convey the overnight chill remaining as daylight arrives. Great POV and sense of height and depth in this rugged terrain. Excellent!

Outstanding use of the technique and software - the light and colours captured here are quite magical. Well composed too. Fantastic work and an education and inspiration also!

Hi Roger,

This work's really well and I am not an HDR fan, photoshop is brilliant but they have a bit to go on HDR. I thought they would have upgraded it in cs3, I will check out photomatrix. Well done great image, love the rising sun just striking near the summit.

Beautful work Roger!
Great clarity and a magical almost ethereal feel to this photo.
Very nice! Vincent

Nice shot, I like the way the light is just hitting the top of Mountain.

Great work on this photo and thanks for the tips. I'd like to try this in the future.

Roger,

SO Much potential, an excellent effort, beautiful view, love the yellow tip.
I did a workshop to bring out the depth.
Cheers
