[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I think it would be a great project to photograph people using different perspectives to have portraits as well as close ups of sections of their bodies. People are so incredibly interesting. Their eyes tell part of the story and their bodies tell part. Young people, old people, piercings, tattoos, it is all great. As part of the text there would be diagrams of the lighting used as well as photographic descriptions so that the reader could learn as much as he or she wanted about technique.

What do you think?

Howdy nieghbor! I'm thinking 1. why can't my belly look like this? (ha) and 2. OUCH. I like the macro, this is really interesting Roger. Love the tilt as it makes it more interesting. Color would have looked good here too. Cool idea!
B-)

Wow! "nice photo" would be lying and too cliche....This is daring, fresh and heart-pounding stuff here and the B&W makes it art...love it! I can just about guess the model's name...nice one Roger...

cheers,

Dilshan

Bom dia Roger,
I see by your interesting note that you are a lover from humanity! You are right: "People are so incredibly interesting" and your post is an evidence.
Great one.
Raimundo

Hello Roger

Very tastefully done. This kind of approach leaves one with an artful look. Very well done.

Hi Roger,
Your artistic approach is interesting! As the masters, you have began of a global view on human beings to get after the details. The figurative arts are leading to the abstract ones!
Very good macro and presentation! Annie

wow I like your POV Roger!.. this is close to the danger zone=) composition and lighting is right on the spot... TFS

Bodyscape photography is certainly a genre that has potential to soar. Done well, it is provocative, sensual, beautiful. Done poorly, it is tacky.
I like the idea here, and the lighting is good, the only negative for me is the focus - there is too much already sharp for the (few) areas of un-focus to work well in the overall composition. I also wonder if this would be better supported by a tighter crop/ alternative placement of the belly-button, and perhaps a higher contrast treatment - i.e. in this instance, move the light source closer to your subject?
Nice job overall though - I like.
Rew

Boa noite Roger
Your angle capture is superb...and make it very interesting, charmed and artistic.
A great "culture" portrait.
My regards
Teresat

Hi Roger,
If the photographers that would do this subject with the tastefulness & artistry that is required for this type of site
as you & Rew & a few other portrait TL members can do, then I would be all for it, not only because of the subject matter, but for the learning curve it would have. But I think it could also be a Pandora's box & an invitation to post imagery by some, that would not be acceptable to the monitors as well as to members of this site.If you could make it work Roger, you have my vote.
Regards
Ron

Hello, Roger -
This image immediately grabbed me. I think this is one of the most sensual parts of a woman's body. I love the subtle lighting and shadows, the highlights on the jewelry, the tiny hairs and the hint of clothing in the bottom right corner. Great choice to angle it slightly. Your project idea is fantastic, and I hope you go forward with it, because I'm sure I would be a big fan of the results, if this one is any indication.

Hello Roger,

Very good idea and excellent realization.
I like the tilt angle.
The light is amazing.

Best regards,
Tatjana

I think this is a very sexy shot, Roger! And yes, body parts and perspectives would be very interesting. Wish had more time for this hobby.

Keep shootin'

Richard
