[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This mess started out as an 8 second shot of the star Sirius through my 8" Celestron SCT. It was bloated and overcooked but I liked the spikes.
There was also an artifact (the blue blob).

Pulled it into Photoshop and used the lens flare
routine to add some purely imaginary features.
Sirius (as many stars) is a binary system meaning it has a smaller companion star orbiting around it. This is Sirius B, and in my concoction I'm fantasizing a surreal planetary system orbiting Sirius B....Yes,it is possible that I need to up my meds 8^)

I really like this photo. I like the feel and the thought behind it. The lens flares seem to indicate that no matter how small we are in the universe we can still be felt...MAybe I need to up my meds, too. ;)
