[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Another shot from the Butterfly Pavillion in Westminster Colorado. Timing was everything with these critters, trying to hit the shutter as they opened their wings was a real trick.

The focus seemed soft on a lot of the images I took but I think part of it is the dusty coloration. The closer you got to their wings the less distinct the markings became.

Cropped in PS with minor brightness and contrast adjustments.

Hi Frank,

Nice colourful macro. Very well captured.
Welcome to TL

Beautiful butterfly shot Frank! Could you have gotten a bit more DOF though? The blur is nice but the red in the flowers gets smeared by the DOF blur. The framing could have been a tad lower too - you're cutting that bottom flower a little close. Nag, nag, nag! ;)

Nice shot Frankie! Cheers!

Incredible depth of field. And the colors and shapes of the butterfly and flowers. Wow!
