[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Srimati Shyamala is a master of the Balasaraswati lineage of Bharata Natyam, the sacred temple dance of South India. Shyamala started dancing at the age of seven and at the age of fourteen began her studies with the legendary dance master Srimati T. Balasaraswati. She received her Diploma of Proficiency and had her Arangetram (ceremonial first recital) in 1978. She has been teaching, performing and lecturing extensively since that time. Shyamala has an extraordinary understanding of the depth and grace of Bharata Natyam as well as the temple arts of the Devadasis (servants of God). She is enigmatic... I will post her portrait soon. She is also the teacher of 'Sonja'.

Wonderful image Conrad. I love the movement and the fact that the place of focus is so expressive.

Stronge, verry
Respecte for your work.
Not a lot bla bla, but this is a good one.
See you.

Interesting composition, but it is too bad the left foot is out of focus. That spoils the whole picture.
