Located just west and south of Denver are some the "Red Rocks" area. West of Denver there is a concert location there -- the Red Rocks amphiitheater. And south of Denver is another wonderful one picturd here. I used to love to hike in this area.

This is scanned froma 35mm negative. Sharpened, contrast and color adjustment, resized, and framed.

What a gorgeous landscape and view. The valley reminds me of Red Rock Canyon at Waterton. I love the composition and colours...although I did a workshop for a little different look. I hope you like it. Janice :)

Hi Mike - Your image has a good balance between the details in the foreground, the remote landscape in the middleground and the far-away mountain ridge in the background. I also like dynamics created by the stellar-liek 'movement' from left to right: the direction of the bending purple flower and yellow grass seems to be taken up by the narrowing view of the lake and the mountain slope with its red rocks. The mountain ridge in the far distance runs almost perpendicular to this, upwards to the sky. That's why I think this is a good composition, on top of the colours. - Cordelia :)
PS: Do you have any photos of the Garden of the Gods, outside Colorado Springs?
