[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Took my mom to see one of the early games for the Colorado Rockies.

Taken with her Kodak DX6490 camera.
PP Recropped, i realized after uploading this photo yesterday, the batter was to close to the middle for good composition so i have reposted this with less foreground to better place him using the rule of thirds. I think it looks better.
Note 35 mm equivalent focal length was 380mm, we were sitting in the outfield stands.

:D I love baseball- Used to play softball in america it was my favourite sport. I like your timming with the ball mid air, did he hit it? the crowed adds a nice effect aswell!! Nice job!

good action, I like the photo and agree it looks good with the rule of thirds...

Hi Jeff,
Ah, what could be more American or summery? It works on almost a symbolic level. Great composition. Great work catching the ball in mid air, too.
Annetta

That's a homerun ball.
What happened, did he goof.
Excellent shot and well done on the composition.
For a point and shoot, this is a great shot.

Mike

Hi Jeff
I dont think many people appreciate how difficult it is to capture this shot with this clarity.

Great capture.
