this is part of a continuing flora macro study. this particular flower is a wildflower i believe to be within the daisy family. in color, it is a very pale lavander, and the bush is covered in blossoms. the flora offers a variety of line and texture, and photographing in black and white allows the viewer to not be distracted by the colors, but rather enjoy the form.

Wow, great shot. Yes I agree with the chosen medium, it really does what you intended.
I "might" have considered doing a little PP to remove the bug..I know it kinda belongs there, but the flower in itself is really pretty cool. The B/W makes it look kinda spooky though, and I like it.

Bravo,
Scott

I love the uniqueness of this because most flower shots I've seen on these sites are well lit. The dark colors and choice of black and white really adds to the artistic value here. Nicely done.

wow, i'm amazed at how you managed to make a pretty flower so creepy and eerie! (i don't mean this in a bad way at all). interesting composition too, as you've only included a partial view of the flower with some very sharp details. Photographing it in black and white makes it look super moody.

nice b/w image, could be a bit mroe contrast?

Détails et ensemble superbes.....
Bon choix pour le choix du noir et blanc
Bravo!!!

Hi Psalm.
good B&W macro shot. like it. it like a mars flower took in Roendgen lights. well done.

regards, lukasz

changing something (as example B&W versus colours) change the feeling.... I like in all fields this way to approach the things, also in photography.... and achieved a realy good result...

A B&W very artistic! I like that macro detail. Simply wonderfull! Rich in details!

I think b&w studies of natural objects help to deconstruct. This is a very good image; interesting POV and dynamic. Excellent.

Wow!
Amazing macro and sooo strong.
Welcome to TL. I like your work a lot.
Keep posting.
:)

I don't like macro photo of flowers... but this one is really great, I think it's come from the b&w, and from your eyes ;))
Well done! Want to see more of your creative work.
