Taken with a Nikon 80-400mm at a focal length of 400mm. This nice kitty posed for a long time to enable me to get several nice shots.

I like this shot a lot. Such a huge animal at rest is an interesting composition. It makes me feel tired :)
Have you thought about adjusting contrast to bring out the colours and sharpening? If you use Photoshop you could also do a save selection on the eye and using channels bring out the colors there a bit more as well. If you don't have Photoshop , you could use Picassa 2 which is free ( but won't allow you to play with channels.
