Grilled Salmon and Filet Mignon with Spinach Souffle and Grilled Potatoes. I find food photography to be difficult but want to practice it to work on my composition and lighting. This shot was hand held bouncing a 580 EX II speed light off of the ceiling to provide the lighting. I wish I would have used a smaller aperture to get a large depth of field. Comments and criticism greatly appreciated!
As for the food, the filet is marinaded in soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce, fresh garlic, horseradish, and sweet mustard. It was grilled with the salmon as well as the potatoes which are covered in olive oil, fresh minced garlic and fresh peppers. The spinach was baked with egg, parmesan cheese, fresh onion and garlic. |
