John I always like a hockey shot, good detail obtained on the shooter in this case. (was this taken behind the glass if so makes it even better)
Given all the white surface the meter has to deal with end result is nice. not sure if you cropped this but certainly like the composition in this.

Hi John,
Nice action shot, nice "tension" and suspence transpire thru this shot. Good crop.
On the technical aspect, I think that when you shoot in a environnement where the lights remains constant, you should work on manuel mode when it comes to exposition. I would choose the one that don't overexpose the highlight and shows some details, it would saturate the color a little more, and would be more accurate. Here I find that it's a little over exposed. The blacks aren't as dark as they could be, and the highlights are loosing details, such as the blade of the skates, and the end of the player's hockey stick. Sometime that extra half-stop can make all the differences. If you loose highlights during the shoot, they're gone for good, and there is no way to enhance it.
None of less a nice shot.
