Alley Way

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Still in Reno, Nevada and checking the alley ways for photo opportunities. I saw this couple eyeing the lighted part of the alley. It is nicely painted and colorful. There is nothing going on in the alley at 4:00 PM. I asked them why is that part of the alley clean, painted and looks special? They told me that this is the back alley of popular bistros with good music and they let you in through the back at 50 percent off the cover charge but you have to stay at the back side tables of the bistro. They were just trying the check out the place for tonight when they visit it again.

Excellent photo! The contrast you achieved by careful level adjustments is incredible! Normally digital cameras have a very limited dynamic range, so it is virtually impossible to make such a photo without really good post processing. The result justifies the effort...
The vivid colours add further interest, the crop is perfect...
It would look even great without the couple, but with them this photo is just fantastic!
Thanks also for the interesting note.
Frank
A nice shot Andre, sharp colors, I like those two small red lines in the dark, good perspective.
Best regards
Guy
Hi Andre, Nice contrast between the dark alley and the couple though the guy's T-shirt is a bit underexposed, but the compo. is fine!!
cheers
