Yes insects don't seem to do what they are told. I don't know if your original picture is blurred or if you failed to sharpen it before uploading. If this blur is in the original - I find I have to become rather fearless when photographing certain bugs, and concentrate on 'the' insect or a body part, or you will experience blur or if on an object the object will be in focus instead of the subject. Had this photo been clear it would have been quite good. Like the yellows on bee and flower. By the detail of the antennae it almost seems the camera was focusing just beyond the head.I find if I use a macro in wide angle and get closer I have less problems with focus and Depth of field.

I agree with lyta about the blur. But I for one know how difficult it is to get good macro of insects. I have yet to post a picture of insect here. But I keep practicing, and I get more "comfortable" getting closer to those stings. Keep on practicing and posting the results.
