This is a scanned photograph of hot-air balloons being inflated during the 1999 International Baloon Fiesta held yearly the first week of October in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
This year I crewed for the Yellow freight company. That meant helping unpack, unroll and inflate the balloon, then following the balloon all over town until they found a place to land in someone's backyard. There were 2 other balloons landing in the backyard: Diet Pepsi and a local business. When we got there the residents offered everyone breakfast burritos and drinks. |
