Driving home on a winter day as the sun set on the Sandia Mountains of Albuquerque.
They are called the Sandias because usually during sunsets they look bright pink. However, I've also read that they have been also called the Copper Mountains, and I guess this is why.
So, anyway, we had to stop and admire the view... |

A striking image. Very well composed. I like the compressed look -- must have been on the long end of your zoom. The only thing is that it looks a little oversharpened to me, that is, rather hard looking. Yours, Andrew.
...Just adding this later on looking at it again. Maybe it's not oversharpened. Could be the effect of the strong light. By the way, is that soft looking area on the mountain actually a cloud? (It doesn't look high enough to be so.)
