The small city of Santa Fe, New Mexico is quite famous for its Indian style pueblo architecture, which is made of adobe ( mud bricks) and is very organic in nature. The scale of the buildings are very intimate with curves, arches, and the terra cotta colour of the adobe, which makes it very cosy and friendly in nature.

The pueblo style architecture is native to this area. The Taos Pueblo, north of Santa Fe has been inhabitated for at least 1000 years. By choice, there is still no electricity in the pueblo.
Blue doors and window frames are indicative of this style, as well as unique entrance ways.

Hello Joni,

Very nice picture with warm, rich contrasting colors, good composition.

The adobe houses are so beautiful. We visited New Mexico and the Santa Fe area ten years ago. It was a wonderful journey where I felt in love with the Four Corner region. I can't wait to go back over there.

Have a nice day, Michel

Bonjour joni
Very instructive picture and note!
Soft light provides easy visibility of all those beautiful details and colors (even on the statue in niche)! The peep-through the arch depicts a studied composition.
Cheers.
Robert

Lovely picture, beautiful style and color combination and nice note.
tfs.

Hello Joni
I remember these adobe style buildings from Santa Fe and Taos which have beautiful colours are shapes. The colourful doors add depth and interest, I could never post my shots from Taos because I had a tripod with me. Very well seen and presented.
Regards
Jim
