The Peter Iredale
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
Yesterday and today we drove along the Northern Oregon Coast from Astoria to Lincoln City and captured many images that best represented the State of Oregon along the route. One image is this shipwreck of the Peter Iredale that I have wanted to photograph for many years, but due that I am mostly caught in the Cascade Mountains the opportunity had not arose until yesterday.
I used a grad neutral density gray 2, EV stops at 2 under, and taken at F16, at ISO 200.

Bonjour Steve,
Agréable atmosphère avec ces nuances douces qui s'opposent à ce squelette d'acier.
Très bel effet ce ciel.
Bonne journée

Hi Steve
Nicely composed with the wreck to the left of centre. Once again the magenta cast has produced a pleasing effect.

Hi Steve,
I guess life is back to normal, all your guests are now gone?
May I ask where ecactly is this fantastic shipwreck located? you have done it justice with this image. I do like your composition,is that a lone figure way in the distance?

Hello Steve,
These old shipwrecks can be fascinating and haunting. There are a number of them along the coast and bay entrance in San Francisco. There's one that only appears after winter storms when the sand is pulled out to sea on Ocean Beach. Cool.
Keep shootin'
Richard
