My favorite camp spot in Oregon. Its a little off the beaten path but its a nice little cove sheltered from the wind by lots of trees. You can pull out some nice fish and flop them right on the fire.

I did a 30 second here having my photo assistant and good friend be very very still for that long. I think he even held his breath. We were hoping for some nice clear skies to do some star trail shots for a few hours but no dice.

I shot this on a near tungsten exposure I believe about 3500 K to get a nice warm file but a really cool blue sky.

Its a great place to camp.

I love to look at images/creations like yours.

Hi Robert

Stunning, Wow not sure what to add.
Just need to wipe some drool back (*_*)

How long does it take to become as good as you, and some of the other Pro photographers, and what does it take to get there?

Have a fab one

Clint

Hello Robert :)
This is another great one! It's not an easy job to make a nice long expo. shot like this :) Your friend seems to be very patient :)) I really like the effect of the fire and the calm soft surface of the lake! Overall I like it very much! :)

Very nicely captured, Robert. The long exposure really works wonder here as the water of the lake looks like a mirror. I also like the cloudscape which adds a bit of drama to the picture (even if it means that you could not get to see the stars!). Nice inclusion of the fire & your friend. Nice contrast between the cold blue colour and the warmth of the yellow-reddish of the fire on your friend. Well done!

Breathtaking (^_^) beauty once again Robert!

Pretty cool location. Great long exposure. Travelling clouds created a spectacular shot.Nice reflection on the lake a another plus. Congratulations to your model too for holding his breath so long. I hope he did not burn his hands (^_^).

I love it!

Hi Robert
I can already hear the crickets. Looks like a very peaceful place. I like the colors and sharpness that resulted.
Thanks for a great photo!

Hi Robert,

What a lovely area here for this image, your settings have given us a nice dual lighting effect here, along with a cool breeze from the lake and a warm soothing feeling to combat it from the fire.

Nice work

John
