Went up above the treeline by snowmobile. Shot this at about 7:30 am the other day. No filters just combined two exposures for a little more latitude about 1 1/3 stops in difference. Shot with a 24mm TS-E for a little lens movement. That is my favorite landscape lens.

Getting up there was fun zipping through the trees. I would like to do some HD video going through the trees, it is too eerie and cool at 6:30 am when twilight is coming up.

Thanks for looking.

Beautiful scene with lovely sunrise colours. Nice to see the untouched snow. I bet you thoroughly enjoyed your trip.

Magic morning twilight.
Superb landscape Robert. Snow mobile rides are certainly providing great opportunities for photo hunters. But you have to take your time and stop frequently to enjoy these views. Otherwise, you just see the trail ahead of you, instead of enjoying the panorama.
A bit the same as when you are travelling by car in fact. But with the trails, the panoramas are often much more spectacular in these remote places.
Well done!
Robert

PS Think big (^_^), Try to upload Maximum size 800 pixels to use maximum permissible visibility.

Amazing shot,Great colours and POV
Well done,greetings and TFS

The light is fantastic. You might enjoy works of this photographer.

Hi Bob, what a dream photo this is. I guess this is what you mean in your intro about what you do with what you see. It's also just about being there, isn't it? But what a disappointment that you only give us 600 pixels out of 800 possible. I would have liked to see this up larger. And I see you replied to Linus about the 200Kb but this is only 127 Kb. So was there a problem with compressing when you resized?

Oregon is somewhere I'd love to visit! Your exposure combination trick has worked well, with the sun on the distant mountains not being overexposed. There's nothing nicer than a fine winter day for photography - well caught!
