I took this at the campground we were staying at near Newport on the Oregon Coast. I was on my way back from taking sunset photos and saw the bright star poking out from the trees and the orange glow from the yurt's windows.
It was a very peaceful night we roasted hot dogs and marshmallows by flashlight, and went to bed early. At bit cold since it was Novemeber but all in all a nice family memory.

I love the shapes and colours in this image Lori. The sky with the dark silhouettes of the tree branches and the clouds is superb. Also I am surprised that the star can be seen so well. Tne glowing orange lighting makes a nice patch of warmth on this photo. I might have cropped just a tiny bit from the top. about halfway down that patch of dark sky. I don't really know why, but when I scrolled it down the screen I found it looked more proportionate somehow. You got some very nice late evening shots on your trip. Well done!

Very nice view and atmosphere in the photo. Just two small remarks: Don't you think it should have been rotated slightly anticlockwise (those windowpanes would look better vertical) and some NeatImage treatment would do wonders to that sky. But those silhouettes of the trees are just great.
Very nicely composed with the star between the tree branches. Well done.
Beautiful silhouette. It’s sharp, the colors are excellent and the light being on in the cabin or house was a perfect match. It gives you a good perspective on how dark it was. It could loose the star however; it makes it look like there was something on the lens that was not supposed to be there. It’s distracting.
