[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This photo was taken on the Pacific Ocean just offshore from Newport, Oregon. My family and I were aboard a fishing boat that was taking tourists out to whale watch. We didn't see any whales but we did experience 20 foot swells and had a "rockin'" good time! The point of view in this photo is me on the side of the fishing boat looking towards the back of the boat. We had following seas and I will say that even though this day was beautiful I know just how cold this ocean is in the winter so falling in was a worry. hahahaha!

Again, I am blessed and grateful.

Love the deep BLUE color of the ocean and that wave sweeping in across the image. Good sharp action shot with a great POV.

Hi Bettina, a wonderful shot for sure, it almost looks like ice in the water! Love the cool blue of the water and sky against the promontory. I had a young friend die in those waters when he fell in on a boating trip in just that area, so you are wise to always be alert, wear a safety harness and/or life jacket. The sea can be calm one time and then swells can appear almost at will. TFS.

I know that i's not easy to take a photo from a boat.
You say i am an artist and a good photographer but i think you take so good or better shots.

Hi Bettina, this to me is a most beautiful photo! I love the wave the ice and I just think that you captured it so well, and yes I dont that I would like to fall in that place as it looks a bit chilly!!.
I am going to add a bit to my intro to explain my dealeated photos.
