This is at Portland Rose show in Portland, Oregon. Sitting all be itself it attracted me beause of its blending colors so beautifully.
I decided to capture it with a slow shutter speed to take advantage of the available ambient light. That allowed me to catch its texture and shades.
Processed in Photoshop CS2 for defusing the DOF and giving it a border.
Thanks for viewing!

Wow, This is a shot that has real punch, The colours on the rose are stunning and you have captured them well with great detail on the flower itself. I might have been tempted to either move or cut the leaf on the right as its obstructing part of the rose, but then again you've caught the shot as nature intended

Hi David, very nice and refreshing. I like the framing.TFS

Truly an outstanding rose David. The colors are superb. The peach and pink look great together. I also like how the leaves behind it seem to caress the rose. Great job.
