This will never hang in a gallery, which is why I am asking for advice. I had some fair to mediocre results in PP, but posted the original so someone nice might want to help.
I wanted the moon in the shot, and early morning sun behind me, but I'm thinking I need just a bit more sun. if my math is right, I need to wait another 27 days to get it. In reality, I don't think the POV is good, so I may have to rethink it. I intentionally underexposed it a bit so the moon would have details, I hope with a little more sun I wont have to as much. I'm a beginner so don't skip the simple details.
On a personal note, this is a monument to the fallen airmen of the Oregon Air National Guard, which sadly we had to add a name to this last summer. I don't care if it takes me two years, but I hope to get some memorable photos from this monument, and your critiques and advice could help me do it.
Thank you in advance. |

Hi Dave,
Welcome to Treklens . . . I think you did a pretty good job with this one. The moon is luminous, there is color to the sky, nice details in the planes, and the flag unfurled for you! I'd be curious to see your PP results, since this is your original.
I'm posting a workshop; hope you don't mind.
All the best,
Karen
Hi Dave! I like the moon-lit morning but the subject lacks the lighting because the sun is not yet rising but the location of the moon is lovely. What a predicament! :)
Anyway, I made a dreamy WS from Karen's WS, highlighting the subjects. I hope you like it! :)
TFS,
Freddie :)
