| Today I drove to the World Famous Rose Gardens in SW Portland in my attempt to capture a shot of Mt. Hood and Portland on my way home. I took this above the Rose Gardens and just north of the parking area overlooking Portland towards Mt. Hood. You may notice all the cinder cones and the one ancient volcano that leads your eye to Mt. Hood, to date this location is by far the best to witness the volcanic topography that has transformed what was once a placid plain into a not so long ago in geologic terms, a heated maelstrom of volcanic eruptions and basalt flows that reached far and wide through Idaho, Nevada, Washington, and Oregon States. |

Hello Steven,
the white mountain in BG, in contrast with trees and buildings is really fantastic.
Have a great day.
