Yaquina Head Lighthouse

| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
| I found that I did not post this on Tl, so here is the second of the two best images I caught of the lighthouse in Newport. there are two lighthouses in Newport, but this is the most photographed of the two. If you were to elect to capture the sunset, the gates to the lighthouse close at dusk, but if you park on the exterior of the gate you can legally walk down the road to the lighthouse and capture the beautiful sunsets and lighthouse without cause for worry. The views from along the roadway looking down at the rolling surf, the seals, and the distant rocks are spectacular, and a must see whenever you travel through the region. |

Hi Steve,
You really can be proud of this splendid photo!
Gorgeous light revealing such great details especially on the headlight. Excellent composition using effectively of the third rules. But, what grabs me more here, is the very beautiful ambiance you rendered.
My compliments! Annie
Hi Steve, as an affenciando of lighthouse photographs, this is spectacular! Many congrats and cudos to your efforts to take the time necessary to find the perfect time of day and perspective to show off this great old piece of architecture. I have some lighthouses posted on my gallery, but this one supersedes any of the ones I have captured thus far. Cheers to you!

Hi Steve, Very appealing composition and colours. Interesting story about this beautiful spot on the coast. The single figure gives a good idea of scale. TFS. Murray.
