[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
After the desert like environment near Baker City we drove on to visit Hells Canyon National Recreation Area. a few miles past Homestead we took a little detour to McGraw Lookout point to have a first glimps of the Snake River.

It was difficult to find a good point to really look down the huge canyon without putting myself in danger.

Hells Canyon is North America's deepest river gorge, encompasses a vast and remote region with dramatic changes in elevation, terrain, climate and vegetation.

Hola Niek.
Bello paisaje y buen encuadre
para albergar un panorama tan diverso.
Buena luz y nitidez.
Saludos, JL.

Hi Niek,

Lovely capture of the landsacpe with great sharpness and beautiful colors. The POV is the best part of the picture. The cloudy sky brings great mood into teh shot, however, the mountains bring dynamism in the overall picture.
Great work, my friend!

thanks for sharing,
Paras

hi niek.
a nice view point. it's a shame about the flat contrast in the bg.
your horizon runs off rather dramatically something that could easily have been fixed in ps. it seems to cut the image in half as well.
the fg is rather dark and lacks colour. i presume you metered for the sky?

nice try.
Brian

Hi Niek,
Like the composition here, the rule of thirds works well here. The colours are perfect natural, agree with you about Brian's WS regarding the colours, they appear over saturated. Nonetheless I wished the contrast was a bit increased, the horizon (which appears straight to me) looks a bit hazy though. Nevertheless a fine posting Niek.

Groetjes,
Anneke

P.s.: De bewerking van onze "collega" is echt hopeloos!
