Hi David,
this is a very nice shot of wildlife. I like the alliance between mineral and water.
Have a nice day.
Regards from Brittany.

Hello David,
amazing capture of the falls! Neat presentation. This is a fine example how a falls should be photographed in the ambient light. Beautiful light, excellent pov and framing. I love this.

Hi David
Superb motion blur on the cascading water, with good graphism & minimalist color. An informative note, and well managed exposure on the highlights. Tfs!

Hi David,
Excellent shot of this waterfall. The water motuion is perfectly captured, the contrast of the dark rocks and the buish glowing water creates a great view. Did you used a tripod for this shot, if so you could even increase your f-stop (f/8) en decrease the shutter speed even more. up to 3 sec and more!
Anyway a great posting my friend!
Hans
dear David,
a beautiful picture of the shining fall.
your setting F2.4, 1/0.62 sec. is excellent to express delicate line figure of falling water.
in my feeling more high ISO makes another effect on it.
anyway this quiet feeling in spite of being rather big sound of water there is wonderful,
maybe dark rocks support the ambience of shining fall silently.
thank you,
Akihisa
Hi David, I thought I had seen something similar in the past and noted it was one you posted in 2007.
Like the close up of this and saw by your exif data that this was taken before the other one shown in 2007.
Like how this shows the detail (glistening) in the rock face and the growth around the falls, the effect of the shutter speed and Fstop worked well as bore out in this and the other photo.

Hi David, thanks for the informative notes. you certainly caught these falls as you saw them, in the light that was available to you.I would like to ask you though, why an ISO of 80,I know you mentioned it was to avoid noise, but would noise appear at an ISO no greater than 400?I think to, that downsizing for TL downloads, takes some impact away from an image like this,I bet it has lots of mood & vibrance when seen at its largest sizing.

Hi David,
The slow shutter speed certainly resulted in a milky smooth water flow, a feature most photographers try to achieve for waterfall shots. I wonder how it would look if you brought your tripod and tried other settings particularly higher f/stops. I also think the wide spectrum of exposure makes this an ideal photo for HDR processing. Regards.

Hi David,
Falls the way i like them , smooth and silky , i would have gone with the iso 80 too , gee noise creeps up in mine when i go higher, the blue tinge of the water conjures up , conveys a sensation of coolness and dampness in the surrounding air , sounds like a jewel of a place in some remote corner of the forest , enjoyable view indeed,
Thanks for sharing ,
Carol
