Shooting a headshot at f/1.4 means that only her right eye (left side of image) is completely in focus.
This image has been edited slightly... mainly to smooth the skin (when you're up that close you tend to see every little imperfection). But I try not to overdo skin smoothing because then it begins to look fake, so hopefully the effect here is very subtle. |

The effect is indeed subtle, and it is certainly what the commercial and 'mainstream' world expects/wants, so kudos for some expert work there.
The slight difference in sharpness on her eyes isn't noticeable. The colours and light here are rich and the range of light and shadow is rich and very pleasing.
