[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
It's the beginning of fall here in Louisville, Kentucky, but as always, winter and snow are just around the corner. Riding up a ski lift at Snowbird Ski Resort outside of Salt Lake City, Utah, I caught this guy doing a "single cross over" move. Most people don't recover from the crossed ski's on moves like this but he did. Unfortunately I couldn't catch the landing.

Now that is a killer shot, Joe!
Great lighting - I love the way it comes in at an angle and makes those nice shadows. Brilliant stop action, marvelous color and clarity, well composed. It looks nearly 3D - like the skier is going to come out of the frame. Just a superb catch! Many thanks and kindest wishes,
Shelly

Great action shot from a difficult position. I'm assuming that a ski lift is not the easiest place to shoot from. You caught the action at just the right moment and the surroundings give a feeling of the height in the jump. TFS

Hi Joe,
Amazing christmas card!
Fascinating lighting, colors and texture in a beautiful scenery.
The skier's helmet stands out like a fluorescent light!
Simply wonderful!!

belle action de ce skieur en plein vol, j'espère qu'il est bien tombé
j'aime la dominence des couleurs bleus et blanches sur ces photos de neiges de plus la lumière qui reflete sur la neige est très naturelle et vive

Hi Mr. Joe,
I missed this one! I think this is one of your better photos that you have posted so far. What a good timing!
But, what is grabbing me, are the superb colors and lighting. The play of the shadows and the bursts of light are incredible. Really, a professionnal shot! Bravo! Annie
