A great way to celebrate the Christmas holidays amid plenty of snow in a ski lodge!! This is a postcard look at the Cliff Lodge at Snowbird, Utah. Great snow, great skiing. What else can you ask for at Christmas, except an all paid ski vacation? That's what this was. Thanks for viewing. This was a glossy print image scanned onto digital media.

Lovely view with, as you say, a postcard feel about it. It has just about everything - the snowy mountains, the nice sky and the hotel thrown in for good measure. Overall composition is good, everything blends well together and exposure is good. Nice shot :-)

Hi Mr. Joe,
You have some good photos in your files!
This one is a good example of a splendid point of vue! The road snaking on the slope makes a nice perspective between the mountains.
Excellent DOF and acuity of colors and details. Just a small nit pick about a light tilt at the right side. Don't mind, I made a WS.
Very beautiful place !
Cheers! Annie

Great shot, Joe!
Everything works beautifully here. The swooping curves of the mountains and road, the lodge is in an excellent spot in the composition, outstanding light, perfect exposure. You should be able to sell them this one.. :))) Wonderful job! Many thanks and kindest wishes,
Shelly

Hi Joe,

A winter scene will catch my eye every time. It's always been a desire of mine to go to Colorado during Christmas. It has to be awesome. This is a great composition. TFS

Hi Joe,
Indeed a postcard look. It has feel of a land from some fantasy also. I would have preferred a view without all those buildings, but still this is great.

Nice shot Joe - classic composition by 1/3rds, sharp and deep DOF. Good quality scan too.. The white of the snow is well exposed - too often people don't compensate for this..

Looks like good skiing. I've done the Rockies in Alberta but not Stateside - yet!

Cheers
David

Hi Joe,

This is a really nice capture, and even more oustanding because it is from a scan. As you said, a classic postcard POV. Excellent sharpness and DOF, with nice light management. TFS
