Dune Iris
 |
|
| [Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note |
I was experminting with my camera with trying macro shots. This flower grows wild in the sand dunes near the shore of the lake.
I shot it in protrait mode on automatic.
I need to play with my camera more to figure out what all it will do. I haven't done much with settings other than change the mode. I like taking photos more than reading manuals.
The only work done was a crop. and a resize.
I am here to lern more... So feedback of amy kind is most appreciated. |

Hi Dayna, welcome to TL.
This dune flower is an Iris. The funny thing is that irises usually grow in water places or where water swamps the land.
Camera settings: Takes time and practice to work it out - and I still guess a lot. But I think a lower F-stop would make it come out better. Practice and practice.

Hello Dayna,
if it is your first macro photo I will say it is good. It is a little bit unsharp - I think the space between you lens and the camera was to small or you have to try a manual focus.

Hi Dayna,
This is a lovely shot. I like the square format and how you placed the flower. Just like in a few other shots of yours, the sharpness is lacking. Perhaps, try to set your camera to automatic mode and see what settings you will get and then try to mimic it in the manual format.
