Hi Dayna,
Nicely capturing this pretty model. Nicely framed. Superb close up picture.

Hi Dayna,
Pretty model even without a smile ;-) nicely cropped, border is well done with water sport on edge but in my opinion I didn't add the dark blue border.

Nice picture. I think it is a little to tight crop at the top of the picture. Here hair get stuck in the frame...
I think the frame is asking for a little bit t much attention witch is a pity for your pretty model, but that is just my opinion
Like the composition. I think it was a good choice to healing a bit on the left.

Very pretty model, Dayna, even with the wet hair, and the "Mom, put the camera away" expression! I like the tight crop and the predominantly blue colors of the water and the raft, contrasting against her skin tones. It's a good composition, and you handled the lighting well, especially considering the bright sunlight, which can be tricky.
As to the frame, let me add a bit to the discussion you had with "kristies" regarding frames. IMHO, a frame should complement, and not distract from, the image. It's a fine line, and often a tough call. Frames are fun to experiment with, but sometimes people get carried away with them (me included). In this case, I find my eye drawn more to the frame than the subject, so I would have gone with just the blue border, which picks up the blues of the water, and not the white water spots. Again, all just my opinion.
Beautiful shot taken with a candid style - unlike the movie scenes - thus, closer to natural life.
Thanks for sharing.
dayna,
daughters always make great models. here you have captured a very nice expression on her face with great detail and clarity. like the natural tone on her face.
Hey Dayna,
Glad to see that your's has an attitude too:-) You've captured it well! The girl is beautiful, and with the sunburned arm, looks really natural in this environment. I like how the water dropletts on the back of her shoulder and arm serve to enhance the edge of the shadow. I don't see anything that I would change. I've read the comments about the frame and I think it lends an informal feel to the picture that fits really well. I can't tell by looking at this where the writing on the float was... so your healing job was a success.
Regards
Terry
Beautiful girl no doubt, but leave the corny frames to the less talented people on the site. A real pictures speaks for itself and doesn't need dressing. Let your pictures do the talking and success will follow :)
