[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
I photographed this male lion at the Woodland Park Zoo in Seattle Washington, USA. We were in the city visiting some of my wife's family, and took a side trip to the zoo. This Zoo is considered to be a great place to photograph animals like this lion.
I used a 300mm f/4 "L" IS (image stabilized) lens for this photo. Normal RAW processing, resize for TL.

He's beauty!

Nice capture of the lion. I was wondering about the background till I read yur note since the natural environment where these animals keep is much different in South Africa.. Good opportunity in any case to see them in captivity too - especially for people who might never enjoy their real beauty in nature. It is good to see that the lion is not in a small cage..
