[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Designed by Rem Koolhaas, this eclectic modern library sits on a steep urban site in downtown Seattle Washington with a 29-foot (8.8-meter) height difference between its boundaries on Fourth and Fifth Avenues. I took this photo above the vast "Living Room" entrance, a large unprogrammed space that offers Seattleites an alternative to brand-name coffee shops as a place to relax, socialize, read, and connect wirelessly to the Internet. Koolhaas describes the library as being sculptural, but is not in any way an attempt to make a form. The library's appearance comes from pushing boxes around to stay within the height and setback restrictions and zoning codes.

Hello Gary,
a very interesting and unique building. Very modern and artistic in architecture. I like the perspectives and steel lines that compliment its tough and rugged looks. A very well composed shot with clear depiction of the interior of the library. Thanks for sharing.

Regards,
Foozi
