[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
This is another shot of my wife...there are no distracting cars in the background in this one :0) My friend Mike and I are starting our photography business and we needed some pictures for a portfolio. This is one of the further away shots but I liked it anyways. I think I could have gotten a little more light on her face. Hope you enjoy it. Any tips to improve are appreciated.

Hi Philip,
nice pose and model,
nice colors
I have only few suggestions
the face of the model is not enough lightened,
the background distracts as it is tilted ...
best regards!

Hi Philip
Nice shot beautiful use of sunlight and great composition.
Well done and keep it up.
My best wishes are always with you.
Regards,
M. Latif.

Hi Phil

nice casual pose but I think more eye contact with the camera would have been better in this situation. I also agree about the lighting on the face and the tilted horizon.

Andrew

Love the use of natural lighting, the colors, the compo (especially with her leaning up against an angled tree). It's very sharp and clear, nice contemplative pose of the woman and great background. TFS!

I have little experience with portrait photography, but in this case the tilted background tells me right away that your model must be displayed in an unnatural position. Fill-in flash would have been useful.

Phil, all the best on your new venture.

I love the effect the natural lighting gives this photo which adds an aire of mystery to it with her body and the tree she's leaning on being well exposed, yet her face is slightly shadowed, underexposed.

Well done.
Cheers, Todd

First of all I think is not a good idea to incline the photo; an inclined position of the model is better. Then the tree takes too much space; in this case it is preferred to extend the photo to the right side. Of course the face area is a bit underexposed. Before to take photos you should clean the area; it is something like garbage at the root of the tree…
The attitude and the clothes of the model are well chosen, suited with the environment.

nice work philip
great compo and mood
see you

nice one Philip, you waited for the perfect light. just a question, does the park really slope that much? I see even the trees in the bg are sloping... if the trees in the back were upright your wife would probably be leaning over...
