I took this with my new Nikkor 50mm 1.4. I stopped using my 1.8 a while back because the image quality didn't seem to compare to my 70-200 and my 17-55 but this new 1.4 is worth it's weight in gold! Hope you enjoy it!

Hi Philip,
Tremendous photo, such deep colours and remarkable details. The colour of her eyes are very intriguing, lovely looking woman. Well captured, hope you're enjoying your new lens.

TFS,
Scott.

No doubts for the great quality of your new lens....

blue is the star and magic here, welldone

Good use of DOF and strong composition, I'm not at all keen on the PP on her skin though, in all honesty it looks very overdone to me.

Hello Philip,
Sharp docile portrait of a beautiful girl! The blue cast compliments with the colour of the eyes which are dominant, 'cos the first thing to look at in a portrait are the eyes.
A very good job and an excellent clean presentation.
Regards.

Pretty subject, good pp and good equipment! Nicely done Phil!

Amazing portrait! Great use of the 50mm. Love the shallow DOF. Great tones!

It is interesting that you say that...

I just got the 50mm with 1.8 and am curious about the 1.4??? What difference are you seeing? Thanks.
