[Note Guidelines] Photographer's Note
Diane (cloverstar) posted a blue rose a few days back. It got inspired and I went out in my garden yesterday and cut a few flowers; mostly Dahlias, but also this rose. Now the rose is really orange, but I thought I'd play around a bit. I set my camera to b/w and then applied different color filters. The light blue is one I particularly liked. What do you think? Somewhat "copy-cating", but aren't most of our ideas inspired by someone else's work?

I'm so glad I was able to inspire you, Andrea. That's happened to me many times. I take it as a compliment. Copy-cating doesn't exist in my world. A good thing, is only a good thing, if it can be shared.

Great composition showing almost the whole rose. The soft blue colour work you did on it gorgeous, as it gives it a nice dreamy feel.

I'd definitely hang this image on my living room wall. Well done.

Nice close up. Good play with lights and shadows.
