hi david,
this is such a gorgeous shot, i mean the colours, the silhouetted trees..so intriguing. in my opinion this could have been framed a bit better. may be including a bit more of the dark horizon. i see the sky looks so fiery on the far right, and pushing the trees further right would have resulted in cutting it off of that part. such cases may be you would have to move a bit to find out the best possible view.
i agree with you there, at times one is so overwhelmed by the beauty, it is really difficult to figure out what to include. happened with me. my friends tell me to include the minimum but achieve the same effect. i am not sure how but trying. good luck.
